Reintegration for former detainees

The Custodial Institutions Agency (DJI) helps, with funding from the European Social Fund (ESF), former detainees and former patients in forensic care to regain their place in society.
It is hard for ex-detainees to get jobs because either they have been out of the job market for a long period of time, have little or no qualifications or because of stigmatization. The chance of these people being cast out of society and ending up back in the system is big.
During their detention period detainees are able to get personal coaching, study and/or follow courses to prepare themselves for a changing job market, making sure that ex-detainees are able to get a job quickly after they paid their debt to society or have the qualifications to start their own business.
